About the Role
Multiverse is seeking to hire an AI Transformation Engineer to join a small, focused squad driving the company's next wave of growth. This role involves rebuilding company functions to establish AI-first practices and developing a product to serve as a transformation partner for customers. Joining this team means shaping the future of Multiverse, its customers, and the wider workforce in the new world of work.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end-to-end AI systems, including agents and their supporting platforms.
- Identify user problems, break them down, and build AI systems to solve them in partnership with adopting teams.
- Design context and retrieval strategies, including retrieval pipelines, conversation memory, summarization strategies, chunking logic, and RBAC.
- Build evaluation frameworks with automated eval pipelines and human-in-the-loop review processes.
- Design and build tool integrations, including MCPs, APIs, data contracts, and error handling for reliable tool use by agents.
- Influence technical direction by contributing to architectural decisions and proposing better approaches backed by evidence.
Requirements
- Production AI Agent Engineering experience, including shipping AI systems that serve real users at scale.
- Understanding of engineering challenges specific to agent systems, such as context management, model selection, cost engineering, tool use, agent augmentation, and evaluation.
- Product mindset with a focus on identifying user pain, understanding requirements, and building pragmatic, high-impact solutions.
- Ability to test, learn, and iterate quickly in high ambiguity.
- Full-stack delivery experience, including LLM integration, backend services, data pipelines, and frontend for end-to-end shipping.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both engineers and business colleagues.
- Proactive engagement with colleagues and bringing them along on the journey.
- Proficiency in AI-assisted development and ability to mentor others.
