About the Role
The Audience Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing performance marketing initiatives to grow audiences across MM+M, PRWeek, Campaign, and MCK. This role streamlines data collection, maintains subscriber databases, and executes monthly analytics workflows, combining hands-on paid campaign management with operational support to drive new reader acquisition and optimize revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and execute paid acquisition campaigns across SEM, paid social, and programmatic advertising networks.
- Test and optimize growth tactics including retargeting, native advertising, affiliate partnerships, and sponsored content programs.
- Monitor daily spend, creative performance, and conversion paths to AB test ad copy, landing pages, and audience targeting.
- Maintain monthly KPI trackers across all portfolio brands, consolidating performance across paid channels, SEM, social platforms, and site traffic.
- Process subscriber reclassifications, perform data verification checks, and manage newsletter counts and onboarding tracking systems.
- Extract lead and requestor data for webinars, e-books, and CPL programs, and deliver print order counts.
- Build, deploy, track, and manage incentive payments for audience surveys.
- Conduct competitive analysis and research market trends to identify growth channels and audience segments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or audience development.
- Hands-on experience or working knowledge of managing search engine marketing (SEM), paid social ads platforms (LinkedIn, Meta), and programmatic/display networks.
- Proficient with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel formulas, pivot tables) and cross-platform analytics.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage ad budgets, media schedules, and database workflows simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary publishing technologies, marketing automation tools, and database systems.
