About the Role
Zeta Global is seeking a talented and versatile Data Engineer to join our Data Exchange team in Copenhagen. This team develops and deploys Zeta’s next-generation data science and engineering technology, collaborating with global teams. You will contribute to the analysis, development, and maintenance of our complex data infrastructure, tackling challenging projects that demand expertise and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the analysis, development, and maintenance of complex data infrastructure.
- Engage in all stages of the development process, from brainstorming to maintenance, with an emphasis on analysis, prototyping, and development.
- Translate real-world challenges into data models, ETL processes, algorithms, and functional code.
- Implement and optimize solutions.
- Collaborate with management and colleagues across international offices.
- Take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
Requirements
- Solid background in data analysis or software development.
- Intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and ability to translate challenges into data models, ETL processes, algorithms, and code.
- Strong academic background in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines).
- Hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala or other OOP languages for data engineering and processing tasks.
- Strong data analysis skills, including working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of distributed data processing for batch workloads.
- Solid understanding of database technologies.
- Analytical mindset and pragmatic approach to solution development.
- Creative thinker, capable of identifying opportunities and weaknesses in proposed solutions.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and connect them with underlying data.
- Proactive and independent worker, eager to understand and engage with the company's core problem space.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Adaptable and comfortable navigating a dynamic environment where priorities may shift.
