About the Role
DaVita is seeking a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment to patients. This role involves direct one-on-one patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis topics. The position offers a robust paid training program and clear paths for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
- Spend the majority of the day in direct one-on-one patient care.
- Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Measure and record patient stats.
- Perform patient observations.
- Set up hemodialysis machines.
- Prepare the water room and bicarb for patients.
- Test water for chlorine.
- Calibrate tools.
- Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
- Work under the supervision of an RN.
- Work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
- Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
- Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
- Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Desire to help people.
