About the Role

Lean In seeks a strategic and scrappy Senior Marketing Manager to build the marketing engine for its community platform, Lean In Connect, and its associated programs (Lean In Circles, Lean In Girls, and Company Programs). This role will own the acquisition and retention of users, encompassing go-to-market planning, multi-channel strategy, and advertising for new and existing products. The position reports to the Head of Product and collaborates with Programs and Content leads. The team is lean, leverages AI for efficiency, and maintains a human voice and judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute advertising strategy, primarily driving individual women into Lean In Connect and Circles.
  • Own the ad budget and channel mix, modeling CPA and activation assumptions to make deliberate trade-offs.
  • Own creative aspects including ad design, copy, landing pages, and signup flows.
  • Design experimentation plans, including testing strategies, objectives, and scaling criteria.
  • Track and analyze performance against KPIs (traffic, conversion rate, CPA) and communicate learnings to stakeholders.
  • Own acquisition and retention across channels, focusing on bringing users in and keeping them active.
  • Craft and execute multi-channel marketing strategies, with an emphasis on social and email.
  • Build marketing campaigns for programs like Company Programs, Lean In Girls, Circles, and Networks.
  • Own campaigns and always-on marketing efforts end-to-end, including ideation, copywriting, building, and deployment.
  • Identify target personas and define audience segments for campaigns.
  • Build and run go-to-market plans for new offerings from concept through launch and post-launch optimization, focusing on growth and conversion.
  • Own marketing levers to achieve stated KPIs for each initiative.
  • Own positioning and messaging for launches and partner with Communications on press moments.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years in growth, performance, or acquisition marketing, with strength in both B2C and B2B.
  • Track record of data-driven marketing and strong analytic skills, including A/B testing, conversion optimization, and independent experimentation.
  • Experience owning a media budget and determining channel mix, with evidence of improving efficiency.
  • Experience building and running go-to-market plans end-to-end.
  • Habit of testing new acquisition channels.
  • Strong creative instincts, with the ability to write copy and direct design.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills, working with Content, Product, and Comms as a peer.
  • Proactive communication skills to align stakeholders and provide status updates.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive intersectional, inclusive marketing outcomes.
  • Strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Passion for the missions of Lean In, Option B, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.
