About the Role

Breathe is building battery technology to help brands do more with the power they have. Our physics-based battery management software helps leading automotive and consumer electronics brands deliver products with faster charging, longer life, and zero compromise on safety. We are scaling our testing and validation services and looking for someone to grow these services from our London laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery with customer engineering teams to understand their development programs, decisions, and data needs.
  • Translate customer needs into scoped test and validation programs, presenting methods and rationale to engineering audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Testing to define methods, scope, exclusions, timelines, and deliverables for proposals, quotes, and statements of work.
  • Analyze market segments, pricing, competitors, and customers' in-house capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline against available capacity.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of cell characterization, cell safety testing, and teardown analysis.
  • Technical sales or business development background in contract testing, contract research, or engineering services, preferably within the automotive or battery space.
  • Experience running technical discovery with engineering customers and converting it into scoped programs with defined deliverables.
  • Familiarity with OEM and cell supplier qualification routes and supplier quality audits.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a kind and conscientious manner.
  • Adaptability in an innovative and rapidly scaling environment, ideally from a startup or similar.
