About the Role

Maintain, service, and support specific batteries and equipment at customer locations in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Pick-up and deliver batteries and chargers, install new batteries, chargers, and related equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair battery equipment according to guidelines, maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule and procedures.
  • Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately, following MobileTech Procedures.
  • Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used.
  • Drive and work safely in accordance with company and customer safety policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Keep service van clean, serviceable, and fully stocked.
  • Maintain van's interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals, and documents.
  • Attend meetings, training classes, and other company activities as required.
  • Maintain uniforms for a neat and professional appearance.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and unsafe working conditions immediately.
  • Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by supervisor.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, warranty, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with all departments and employees to ensure quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be willing to work overtime or weekends.
  • May be on 24/7 call.
  • Requires physical exam.
  • Requires uniforms, including steel toe shoes.
  • Good attendance, including timely arrival each day, is essential.

Skills

  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial electricity.
  • Good customer relations skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Ability to follow instructions.

Experience Level

  • Forklift, automotive, diesel or related industrial, aviation or military experience preferred.

Education Level

  • High School diploma.
  • Technical School certificate or associates degree desirable.
