About the Role
The Show Producer will consistently deliver exceptional service to clients through excellent client insight, creative leadership, and focused show management. This position is an integral part of the Event Operations team and serves as the primary technical point of contact for complex events, bridging the gap between the technical team and the event client to ensure seamless communication and execution of the client's vision throughout the entire event lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with event clients or their proxies to execute and elevate their vision for content and stage production.
- Shape and form the Run of Show (ROS), taking the lead on ROS development and client experience.
- Brief the technical team, Show Caller, Stage Manager, Experiential AV, and Engineering teams on required support.
- Act as an extension of the event client, collaborating with Event Managers, Event Coordinators and Technical Directors.
- Manage external agency workflows, leading Event Production Logistics Calls and conducting Show Handoffs.
- Identify operational or budgetary risks regarding the show and provide effective solutions.
- Attend experiential creative syncs and weekly/bi-weekly event syncs to gather insight on content creation.
- Serve as the overall show lead and primary point of contact for the client owning the content/show.
- Maintain a core in-room presence throughout rehearsals and events, checking in with all technical leads.
- Stay on comms with the Show Caller and TD to communicate updates or requests, following the ROS.
- Act as a Show Caller based on event complexity.
- Stay in physical proximity to the client or proxy, translating complex technical terms into understandable language.
- Utilize internal comms to communicate needed changes or requests with all relevant stakeholders.
- Escalate incidents or service issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Meet with the event client to debrief on the overall event lifecycle experience.
- Hold a client post-mortem and create detailed notes and lessons learned.
- Enter comprehensive notes into the internal system relating to the client, pre-production process, and best practices.
- Confirm all content deliverables are sent in a timely manner.
- Actively contribute to the conceptual, creative, and strategic development of future programmes.
- Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
- Work intelligently and ensure team management is aware of problems affecting productivity.
- Build excellent relations with the team, clients, vendors, and key venues through positive communications.
- Ensure knowledge is shared within the team.
- Work on ad hoc requests as required.
Requirements
- Exceptional ability to establish relationships and maintain a positive rapport with clients, client representatives, external agencies, and internal technical teams.
- Experience with complex business meetings, product launches, experiential events, and premium studio broadcasts.
- Understanding of the distinct boundaries between show/content production and standard event management (EM) logistics.
- Calm and flexible approach to handling pressure, stress, and changing demands of executing a live show.
- Ambitious and proactive.
Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of audio-visual systems as they relate to live events (including video playback, transitions, on-screen looks, and PIPs).
- Good/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and event management platforms (e.g. Momentus).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for corporate clients.
- Creative problem solver, resourceful, and a dedicated team player.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
