About the Role

The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is seeking a dedicated individual to conduct psychology courses, lead research, and contribute to university administration. This role involves advising students, establishing industry collaborations, and participating in curriculum development.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting introductory and in-depth courses in Psychology (Bachelor and Master)
  • Planning and implementing interdisciplinary research and development projects including publication activities
  • Advising and supervising students
  • Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, and bachelor and master theses
  • Establishing industry collaborations and partnerships
  • Participating in university administration and committee work
  • Contributing to the conceptual design of new study programmes and the continuous development of existing curricula
  • Advising prospective students and contributing to UE’s outreach activities

Requirements

  • University studies completed with a Master’s degree or equivalent in Psychology, or a related field
  • Proof of exceptional aptitude for scientific work, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and/or the quality of scientific publications
  • At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university, in the field of the professorship, or related domains
  • Several years of teaching experience at universities in different fields of psychology
  • National and international work experience
  • Ability to teach courses in English and German language
  • Publication and research activity desired
  • Commitment to applied research, student engagement, and curriculum innovation
  • Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
  • Specializations or interest in Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, Statistics and Diagnostics are welcome
  • Willingness to work in Berlin
