About the Role

The Group Financial Reporting team is central to the firm's financial control environment, responsible for statutory accounts preparation, group consolidation, and technical accounting. As the firm's international presence expands, this role is crucial for translating complex multi-entity activities into accurate and timely reporting for statutory, regulatory, and investor needs. The position reports to the Head of Group Financial Reporting and involves collaboration with international finance leads, the wider Group Financial Reporting team, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and external auditors, with direct visibility to board and senior stakeholder reporting. Flexible working options, including reduced hours and job shares, are supported to promote work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of monthly international reporting for board and investor packs, consolidating inputs from local finance teams and articulating international business unit performance against strategy.
  • Assist local finance leads and advisors in resolving technical and jurisdictional differences during local reporting implementation.
  • Maintain a proactively managed calendar of statutory reporting obligations across international entities.
  • Support the submission of statutory accounting packs from international entities, ensuring subsidiaries and acquisitions align with group accounting policies.
  • Escalate judgemental issues to the Group Financial Reporting team as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasting for international entities.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on consistency between actuals and management accounts.
  • Support active treasury management to provide foresight of local funding requirements and opportunities.
  • Champion the use of digital and AI solutions to drive continuous improvement and streamline reporting across international entities.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with sufficient post-qualification experience.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Confidence to review, challenge, and interpret local finance teams' reported results.
  • Ability to articulate and present financial results to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with multi-entity group consolidation.
  • Experience working in an international organization with entities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement, including the use of digital or AI tools to streamline reporting.
