About the Role
As the Manager, Regional Payments Lead, you will be responsible for running the local region site for Contract & Centralized Services (CCS). You will manage a team providing support for the Clinical Trial Management System (mCTMS) and payment issue resolution, leveraging Global Shared Services. Your role includes overseeing regional efficiency payments and study-level payment reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Process Ownership for all CCS processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with issue resolution of failed payments for the region, including Purchase Requisitions (PR).
- Train study teams on payment support, issue resolution, and specific processes.
- Act as a liaison among CCS colleagues and study teams for complex issue resolution and guidance.
- Manage end-to-end investigator/site payment processes and calculations.
- Populate CTMS visit templates, suppliers, purchase orders, and clinical trial payments.
- Provide training to new CCS Payments Coordinators.
- Manage a global, virtual team, including performance and development.
- Attract and develop talent to enhance team effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry/clinical research.
- 4 years of experience in clinical payment processing.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong and proven analytical and problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to demonstrate an innovative spirit, strong interpersonal skills, and accomplish substantial tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to reason both abstractly/conceptually and practically.
- Able to operate at both local and global levels and connect easily at various organizational levels.
- Strong team-building skills, including collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing in a virtual and global environment.
- Strong knowledge of PCs (MS Office suite), SharePoint, and intermediate presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and other relevant guidance (HIPAA, FCPA, Safe Harbor, etc.) is preferred.
- Previous experience working in virtual teams is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluency in English required.
