About the Role
As an architect, you will not stop at the design phase. You will bring your projects to the construction site and see live how spaces are created from plans. We work a lot, like to laugh, and even more to eat. Does that sound like you? Then read on.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects through service phases 1-8, with a clear focus on phases 6-8: tendering, awarding, and construction supervision.
- Create and review service specifications yourself and accompany tenders until award.
- Keep track of additional claims, invoices, and costs at all times.
- Regularly be on-site to supervise execution and identify technical or organizational issues early before they become a real problem.
- Make decisions, find solutions, and coordinate directly with clients, specialist planners, and executing companies.
- Handle documentation and schedule planning.
- Actively participate in shaping our processes without going through multiple hierarchical levels.
Requirements
- Completed degree in architecture or civil engineering, or a comparable qualification, and the desire to not only draw your designs and plans but also to accompany them until handover.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in planning, tendering, awarding, and/or construction supervision, ideally in building construction with a focus on renovation or energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings.
- Sound knowledge of HOAI, preferably with a focus on service phases 6-8, as well as VOB/B, VOB/C, and award law.
- Practical experience in handling service specifications, tenders, additional claims, invoice review, and construction processes.
- Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor, both in the office and on the construction site.
- Excellent German language skills in speaking and writing (C2).
- Residence in Berlin or Brandenburg, or a willingness to relocate to Berlin.
