About the Role

We are seeking a Project Director to lead a multi-country, donor-funded program focused on strategic communications, OSINT-led investigation, and information environment work in complex, fragile contexts. This hands-on leadership role requires setting strategic direction, ensuring high-quality delivery, and managing a senior, multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about using OSINT and strategic communications to challenge harmful narratives and drive tangible impact in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear direction on resource allocation across countries and workstreams to maximize impact, value for money, and commercial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior donors, ensuring confidence in the quality and responsiveness of the work.
  • Lead discussions with existing and potential donors to expand or extend the program, advocating for technical approaches and collaborating on resourcing and budgets.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and team leadership to OSINT analysts, investigators, and communications specialists.
  • Review key outputs, challenge assumptions, and steer analytical and communications approaches to meet donor objectives.
  • Develop and inspire a cohesive team dynamic where specialists support each other and contribute to overall program success.
  • Oversee the design of the Monitoring and Evaluation framework, including Theory of Change and Results Framework.
  • Ensure the program's risk management process generates required information and complies with donor reporting schedules.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a confident manager and leader of diverse, senior teams in changing, high-pressure, multi-country environments.
  • Experience applying adaptive management and establishing a productive working culture.
  • Strong networking, stakeholder relationship-building, and management experience, including with government departments and senior institutional actors.
  • Experience overseeing projects in complex or conflict-affected settings, with skilled use of adaptive program risk management.
  • Understanding of OSINT methods and their application in complex contexts.
  • Strong strategic communications experience, including narrative development, audience understanding, and challenging harmful narratives.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded programs focused on information integrity, counter-disinformation, CVE/PCVE, or related fields.
  • Experience working on conflict-affected or fragile contexts, understanding political, media, and cultural dynamics.
