About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional for our unique residential facility 'Schrippenkirche' in Berlin-Mitte, supporting 44 adults with cognitive impairments. We focus on friendly, respectful, and goal-oriented support, emphasizing strong relationships and high professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Accompany residents in various life and everyday situations, including at home, during meals, and in leisure activities, according to their needs and wishes.
- Support and foster daily living skills.
- Establish and maintain daily routines.
- Assist with job and employment searches.
- Manage illness and crises appropriately.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions.
Requirements
- Completed training as a special needs educator, educator, or general nurse (m/f/d).
- Experience with or a desire for professional engagement with individuals with cognitive (and sometimes psychological) impairments.
- Acceptance of and professional handling of risks of harm to self and others, and support during challenging everyday situations.
- Curiosity about the life stories of our clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in personal development, including supervision, further training, and continuing education.

Salary/Compensations
- Minimum €3,806.93 monthly gross for full-time, plus allowances, according to Diakonie Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz, EG 7.
- Annual special payment (equivalent to one additional monthly salary).
