About the Role
A rare opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced senior manager to join our Health and Building Unit. This unit oversees health inspections, responds to environmental health complaints, delivers pest control, regulates construction and building compliance, licensed premises, and fire safety. In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve a safe, healthy, and high-quality urban environment.

- Ensure fire safety compliance
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Health and Building Unit
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in health, building, or a related field, or significant experience in a related field
- Proven leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to articulate vision and inspire direction with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in presenting complex information for non-technical audiences
- Substantial expertise in health, building, or a related field in a complex urban environment
- Demonstrated ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities
- Ability to reconcile competing priorities and develop responsive strategies
- Must complete a pre-employment health declaration and criminal history check
