About the Role

This role provides essential administrative support within the Public Guardian division, ensuring critical services are delivered to people represented by the Public Guardian. You will support a busy team by delivering high-quality clerical and coordination services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-level administrative and clerical support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing high volume, incoming and outgoing correspondence and determining appropriate action
  • Coordinating diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and team activities
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence, briefing materials, and documentation in line with organisational standards
  • Maintaining accurate records, systems, and databases to ensure information is securely stored and easily accessible
  • Responding to enquiries from staff, customers, NCAT, and service providers with professionalism and timeliness
  • Assisting with projects and research to support team priorities
  • Taking phone calls from clients, stakeholders and external agencies and providing triage based on caller requests
  • Prioritise competing tasks while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and professionalism

Requirements

  • Experience providing high-level administrative and clerical support
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Sound judgement and the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • A proactive approach, with strong attention to detail and accountability for your work
  • A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to respond to sensitive and complex enquiries
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident
  • Offers of employment will be subject to reference checks and relevant clearances

  • $87,199 p.a. to $95,482 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading
