About the Role
The National School of Health Sciences seeks expressions of interest from experienced Academics or Clinicians passionate about teaching for ongoing clinical facilitator roles. This role involves periodic casual work supervising students across various facilities in Sydney, providing support and mentorship during clinical placements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and mentor students whilst on placement.
- Identify students at risk and liaise with the clinical education team and site supervisor to ensure appropriate supports and strategies are implemented.
- Provide both verbal and written feedback to students regarding their performance.
- Complete relevant professional development and supervision training through the university.
- Undertake other duties as identified by the Director of Clinical Education.
Requirements
- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist.
- Significant relevant clinical experience.
- Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes.
- Experience with the clinical supervision of students or relevant post-graduate studies.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures regarding work health safety, equity, diversity, and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to foster high levels of collegiality and empathize with students.
- Current and valid work rights in Australia.
