About the Role

Lead end-to-end product innovation and development for Too Faced, driving the creation of disruptive, trend-forward beauty products that align with brand strategy, excite consumers, strengthen brand equity, and fuel business growth. Own and drive the innovation pipeline from concept through launch, partnering closely with various departments and external partners. Requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative vision, technical product expertise, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Too Faced's innovation pipeline across makeup, skincare, and adjacent beauty categories.
  • Identify emerging consumer, market, ingredient, and technology trends to inform future product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing to define product concepts, positioning, claims, and launch strategies.
  • Translate brand vision into commercially viable products that drive growth and strengthen brand differentiation.
  • Lead all phases of product development from ideation through commercialization, ensuring products meet brand, quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
  • Drive key product decisions across formulas, packaging, shades, claims, and product architecture.
  • Balance creativity with execution by navigating technical challenges, timelines, and business priorities.
  • Resolve development challenges while protecting innovation, quality, speed-to-market, and cost objectives.
  • Partner closely with Packaging Development, Procurement, Operations, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing and Regional teams to align innovation priorities with consumer and business needs.
  • Build strong relationships with contract manufacturers, labs, and suppliers to source new technologies and capabilities.
  • Support long-range innovation planning and portfolio management.
  • Evaluate product performance and consumer feedback to inform future development strategies.
  • Manage product development budgets and resources effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Product Development team.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritization, and development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in beauty product development.
  • 3-5+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching prestige beauty products.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic formulations, manufacturing, packaging, and product testing.
  • Experience managing multiple complex development projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience within prestige beauty, color cosmetics, or skincare categories.
  • Global product development experience.
  • Experience working with external laboratories and contract manufacturers.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Experience Level

  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in beauty product development
  • 3-5+ years of people management experience

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus

Salary/Compensations

  • $124,200.00 - $214,450.00
  • Eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program
  • Eligible for participation in the share incentive plan
