About the Role

Seeking an OB/GYN provider for coverage from November 9-16, 2026, offering 24/7 on-call support, clinic operations, and procedural involvement. The role requires proficiency in EMR/CPOE systems and familiarity with Dragon voice recognition software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support, including outpatient and emergency department consultations, and inpatient OB/GYN care.
  • Manage OB/GYN office and prenatal clinic sessions, typically twice weekly (Tuesdays 2-5 PM, Fridays 9 AM - 12 PM).
  • Handle approximately 12 patients per clinic session, averaging 4 patients per hour.
  • Perform surgeries as primary surgeon or assistant.
  • Manage labor and conduct inpatient rounds.
  • Provide predominantly prenatal care (90%) and some GYN care (10%) in clinic.
  • Operate clinic sessions 1-3 times a week, typically Mondays and Wednesdays, starting at 9 AM for 1-3 hours.
  • Assist with scheduled C-sections, ideally not overlapping with morning clinic hours.

Requirements

  • Arrive one day prior to the scheduled start date for orientation on hospital protocols, clinical practice, and EMR/CPOE systems.
  • Proficiency with EMR and CPOE systems is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Dragon voice recognition software is required.
  • Preference for candidates with pre-completed credentialing through the locum agency.
  • Preference for candidates who have successfully completed at least two prior locum assignments with positive evaluations.
  • A New Hampshire medical license (permanent or locum, not temporary) is strongly preferred.
  • Must fulfill eligibility criteria for OB/GYN privileges.
  • Must have current certification in neonatal resuscitation.
  • Preference for candidates who can cover multiple weeks.
  • Preference for candidates who can facilitate limited travel.
