About the Role
The Assistant Vice President, Transaction Operations will report directly to the Vice President, Transaction Operations within Artex Capital Solutions and will have responsibility for onboarding and day-to-day operational aspects of a large, sophisticated reinsurance portfolio. The role encompasses all aspects of transaction onboarding, reinsurance contract administration, management of Funds at Lloyd’s/collateral, investor and management reporting and project management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, oversee, and train direct reports in providing onboarding and day-to-day operational aspects for reinsurance portfolios.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance investor, reinsurance trustee, and broker relationships.
- Improve the structure and quality of reporting to investors and Artex leadership by providing accurate and timely information.
- Ensure prompt drafting, review, execution, and recording of reinsurance, trust, and shareholder agreements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Artex Financial Reporting, Business Development, Compliance teams, brokers, and investors.
- Document, maintain, and support the ongoing refreshment of Underwriting Guidelines, Processes and Procedures.
- Review reinsurance agreement language in line with regulatory requirements and oversee trust opening, collateral investment, maintenance, reporting, and account closing processes.
- Ensure trust/custody account withdrawal/top-up processes are executed promptly and payments are made smoothly and timely.
- Participate in Business Transformation projects.
- Provide high-quality client service by promptly identifying, escalating, and resolving issues.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Re/Insurance industry, preferably Lloyd’s market.
- Experience in onboarding, operations, capital management, underwriting, broking, collateral management/treasury, or technical accounting.
- Experience in Lloyd’s market capital administration.
- Excellent, professional written and verbal communications skills in a client service environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to produce accurate and complete work to meet tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and strongly motivated self-starter.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or Business Objects is beneficial.
- Prior experience with onboarding, underwriting or policy management systems would be beneficial.
