About the Role

GigSafe is seeking a Product Designer to transform product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and production-ready interfaces. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, translating specifications and operational constraints into daily-use screens for contractors, fleet operators, and compliance teams. This execution-focused role requires quick decision-making, independent problem-solving, and the use of AI tools in your workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces ready for engineering handoff.
  • Build clickable prototypes quickly, utilizing AI-assisted tooling to expedite testing and decision-making.
  • Design for complex, data-dense workflows including onboarding queues, document and credential review, compliance status, exception handling, and admin tooling.
  • Maintain and extend GigSafe's component library and design standards for product consistency.
  • Partner daily with Product and Engineering to scope feasibility, test edge cases, and oversee implementation and QA.
  • Prepare detailed specs, including empty, loading, error, and permission states, to ensure clear engineering understanding.
  • Conduct lightweight usability checks with internal staff and customers, integrating feedback into designs.
  • Support marketing and sales with in-product screens and visuals as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of UX/UI or product design experience with a portfolio of shipped software.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI design and prototyping tools in an everyday workflow.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, capable of transforming rough requirements into clean, consistent, buildable screens.
  • Experience designing for web and mobile applications with operational complexity (dashboards, queues, tables, forms, multi-step workflows).
  • Comfortable working from written specifications and asking clarifying questions.
  • Proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout).
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and ship consistently without heavy process.
  • Clear communication of design decisions to engineers and non-designers.
