About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of business development, technical collaboration, and long-term account growth. It is ideal for someone who understands the financial services ecosystem and the software challenges facing engineering organizations. You will quarterback engagements from introduction through technical evaluation, commercial close and expansion, working closely with Solutions, Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own the deal: run the full motion from first conversation through signature: proof of value, paid integration, production.
  • Be accountable for new business, revenue, and expansion across your accounts, and carry each deal through internal review and approval.
  • Build the map: learn who owns which problems and how work gets funded within major financial institutions, and position Code Metal to be brought into customer initiatives.
  • Earn the expansion: deliver on initial engagements, build trust, and establish a lasting presence in the account.
  • Sell to an outcome: learn customer business line priorities (speed to market, cost, performance, or risk) and tailor the sales case to engineers, business leadership, risk, security, compliance, and budget owners.
  • Structure the funding path: identify and build appropriate funding routes for deals, such as innovation lab or digital transformation funding for proofs of value.
  • Partner effectively with shared teams including solutions engineering, delivery, and capture.
  • Work hand in hand with Engagement Managers, Solutions Architects, Solutions Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Technical Program Managers.
  • Maintain the forecast: manage a long-lead pipeline against goals with disciplined, accurate forecasting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years selling into, or capturing business within, major U.S. banks or financial institutions, with trusted, enduring relationships.
  • Fluency in complex organizational dynamics and structures.
  • Ability to clear standard financial-services background and regulatory screening.
  • Willingness to go on-site when a deal needs you, attend events, and engage in relationship-building dinners.
  • Ability to bring energy that lifts the people around you.
  • Willingness to win as a team, share credit easily, ask for help early, and take feedback.
  • Ability to try things, keep what works, drop what does not, and improve the playbook.
  • Dig until you understand business line funding, stakeholder concerns, and solution mapping to program outcomes.
  • CRM discipline and experience using tools for market and account research.

About the Company

  • Code Metal is the leader in automated software engineering.
  • As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck has shifted from writing code to verifying it works, and AI cannot verify its own work with certainty.
  • Code Metal takes a fundamentally different approach: constrain AI to what it does reliably, verify every step independently of the model using formal methods, and keep engineers in the loop on the decisions that matter.
  • The result is code that is provably correct, with auditable proof.
  • Customers including the U.S. Air Force, L3Harris, RTX, and Toshiba use Code Metal to modernize legacy code, optimize performance on real hardware, and move prototypes to production, fast.
  • Founded in 2023 with offices in Boston and San Francisco, Code Metal is funded by Accel, Salesforce Ventures, B Capital, Smith Point Capital, J2 Ventures, Shield Capital, Overmatch, RTX, and others.
