About the Role
Global Gourmet Catering is seeking a part-time Barista in San Francisco, CA, to craft exceptional coffee and provide meaningful guest experiences in a creative, art-centered environment. This role offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a reliable individual with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, beverages, and food according to food safety standards.
- Operate espresso machines, café equipment, and POS systems.
- Manage cash handling accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front- and back-of-house areas.
- Restock supplies using FIFO standards.
- Perform full espresso bar and kitchen cleaning at close.
- Secure equipment and deposits.
- Represent Global Gourmet Catering with professionalism and care.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours per shift with scheduled rest and meal breaks).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Dependable professional who takes ownership of their role and cares about quality.
Skills
- Barista experience (preferred)
- Café experience (preferred)
- Experience with opening or closing shifts (preferred)
- Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices (preferred)
