About the Role

The Learning, Development and Diversity Consultant will lead the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of learning initiatives. This role involves partnering with leadership to create learning solutions that support employee development, accelerate culture transformation, and advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide learning and development guidance, advisory, and consultative services.
  • Create engaging learning experiences and identify best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Manage learning logistics including communication, course outlines, vendor management, data tracking, and budget monitoring.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including content creation, data tracking, and reporting.
  • Deliver on-site presentations and co-facilitate training workshops.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating educational and special events.
  • Support the team in delivering orientation.
  • Develop and facilitate group training sessions and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Support talent development and mentorship programs.
  • Lead and support the advancement of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and prepare reports.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Maintain and update confidential employment records.
  • Participate in special projects related to human resources management.
  • Support new hire onboarding and other staffing initiatives.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources in major unionized public or private sector organizations.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 environment.
  • Experience in the design, development, and delivery of learning strategies and programs.
  • Experience utilizing software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic mail).
  • Working knowledge of employment and related legislation, contractual obligations, collective agreements, and HR policies and practices.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential documents and reports.
  • Proven customer service skills.
