About the Role
As a frontend Software Engineer at Gridline, you will be the primary visual architect and user experience champion powering our alternative investment platform. You will hold end-to-end ownership of the user interface, from crafting clean, responsive UI component systems to designing intuitive product workflows for complex financial data. You will help maintain high standards for a fintech platform and evolve our SaaS client experience, ensuring the platform remains performant, beautiful, and capable of streamlining sophisticated financial workflows.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize highly responsive, accessible web applications using React (TypeScript) built with Claude Code.
- Translate complex fintech data into intuitive visual interfaces that spans workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Partner closely with product, backend engineering, and operations teams to translate complex technical and business requirements into seamless client experiences.
- Implement robust web performance, cross-browser consistency, and state management strategies to maintain a high bar for speed, polish, and stability in a regulated environment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of frontend engineering experience, specifically with React and TypeScript.
- Proven hands-on UI/UX design capabilities (translating wireframes, user flows, and product specs into production layout without dedicated design handoffs).
