About the Role
Raymond James is seeking an experienced investment banking analyst for its Leveraged Finance & Debt Advisory group. This role focuses on providing debt capital raising and advisory solutions to financial sponsors and non-investment grade issuers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed credit analysis and due diligence on prospective borrowers.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including sources & uses, pro forma capitalization, cash flow modeling, LBOs, and credit statistics.
- Prepare internal screening memos, deal underwriting memos, and external client pitch materials.
- Prepare marketing materials such as teasers, investor presentations, confidential information memorandums, marketing term sheets, and lender models.
- Support transaction execution, including data room management, compiling responses to lender due diligence questions, and tracking lender engagement.
Requirements
- 1-3 years in leveraged finance, debt capital markets, private credit/direct lending, restructuring, credit research, or leveraged finance credit risk.
- Middle-market sponsor coverage is a plus.
- Demonstrated modeling proficiency in LBO, three-statement modeling, and debt schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure and tight timelines.
