About the Role

At Soho House, a Server is responsible for educating members and guests on menu items and allergies, while providing an elevated experience by following service standards. The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring service success and guest satisfaction, collaborating with team members, accurately entering orders, and attending to guest requests.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management.
Complete checklists and duties.
Elevate the dining experience by suggesting food and drink pairings and discussing specials to drive sales.
Maintain communication with Management and Executive Chef regarding allergies or potential risks.
Complete and submit checkout reports at the end of each shift.
Adhere to health and safety policies and all Company policies and procedures.
Accommodate special requests from guests or provide alternative solutions.
Ensure food orders are plated and coursed correctly before serving.
Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets.
Clean and stock server alley and bar area, polish silverware, plates, and glassware.
Demonstrate knowledge of the menu and make suggestions when asked.

Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain composure while problem-solving under pressure.
Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, and autonomously.
Smart Serve certified.
Tips certified.
POS knowledge.
Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
Must be able to make periodical fast-paced movements.
Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds.
Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
