Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one companionship.
- Offer non-medical hands-on care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, personal care, and assistance with transfers.
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide pet care.
- Offer transportation to doctor’s appointments and other errands.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Provide direct care to residents, recognizing individual needs.
- Encourage independence and treat each senior with respect and dignity.
- Nurture a home-like setting and assist seniors with activities of daily living.
- Assist residents with household tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and dishes.
Requirements
- Veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply.
- Associates who have been with Brookdale for at least a year may be eligible for up to $725 in advance fees for naturalization application costs.
