About the Role
Bensonhurst Veterinary Care (BVC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Receptionist to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the hospital's visual appeal, providing excellent client service, and ensuring efficient daily operations. BVC offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area.
- Greet and welcome clients and patients.
- Answer questions and triage client concerns.
- Answer calls or emails and direct them to the appropriate party for resolution.
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow.
- Check in and check out clients and process payments.
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients.
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
- Withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
- Be prepared for potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
- Must be compassionate, calm, a team player, multi-tasker, and a strong communicator.
- Highly organized.
- Possess computer skills.
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset.
- Must authorize and complete a satisfactory pre-employment screening.
