About the Role

This Procurement Sourcing Analyst internship offers a stimulating and challenging work environment within Celestica's Corporate Supply Chain. You will develop skills in supply chain and commodity business practices, enhance communication and analytical abilities, gain proficiency in Microsoft products, and acquire project management experience while fostering global interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain or research a supplier at commodity level
  • Research commodity pricing as a trend
  • Create presentations and reports using Excel, Access & Power Point
  • Run TCOO analysis
  • Send and negotiate quote tenders with suppliers to establish cost and set pricing
  • Gain exposure to SAP and internal databases and applications
  • Work with business and IT to maintain and develop new applications
  • Consolidate, tabulate, analyze and report on various topics, commitments and performance metrics
  • Support site SCM buying teams during product shortages or supplier performance issues
  • Escalate issues within the supplier and develop/recommend alternative sources
  • Support customers to resolve quality, serviceability and performance related issues for products
  • Develop and maintain various business processes
  • Work autonomously and handle more complex duties
  • Collaborate with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members
  • Work with colleagues and suppliers globally to gain international experience

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (analysis, pivot tables & vlookup)
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PC skills (database software and major desktop applications)
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously once trained
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent analytical report writing and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as per customer needs
  • Successful completion of a security assessment by Celestica and/or its authorized agents, per the Controlled Goods Regulations
