About the Role
The MKT Bartender is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, assuring each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. This key role provides guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality beverage product that ensures guest satisfaction.
- Greet guests, take food & beverage orders, and prepare drinks with a high degree of sophistication.
- Review drink tickets entered by servers and prepare each order to their specification within specified service standards and times.
- Recommend cocktails and wines to be paired with food items offered in the bar and adjacent restaurant.
- Recommend beverages (wine & spirits) based on guest preferences.
- Maintain strict serving and sanitation guidelines consistent with State, Local and Four Seasons requirements.
- Adhere to all Four Seasons standards – inside the Bar as well as out.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a harmonious relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of bartending experience in high volume, upscale environment.
- Luxury experience is preferred.
- Extensive wine, cocktail, and food knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of point of sales systems required.
- Micros Symphony knowledge preferred.
- Candidates with a bartending/mixology certification are preferred and will receive priority consideration.
- Must be able to easily prioritize and multi-task.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays.
- Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required.
- Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
- Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered.
