About the Role
BridgeBio pioneered a "moneyball for biotech" approach, pooling projects and early-stage research from academia to reduce risk and unleash innovation. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs. We are looking for a highly technical, strategic IT partner and hands-on technical owner for People and Legal functions to own the technology and AI roadmap, translate priorities into technical architecture and delivery plans, and make technical/vendor decisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical architecture and platform engineering leadership for People and Legal functions, including designing reference architectures, defining platform capabilities and integration requirements, and setting technical acceptance criteria for vendors.
- Own the 12–36 month technology & AI roadmap for People and Legal, prioritizing investments, publishing KPIs, and making technical/vendor decisions within delegated authority.
- Lead enterprise-wide AI strategy, including sponsoring pilots, scaling successful pilots into production services, enforcing governance/privacy controls, and representing IT in cross-functional AI governance.
- Partner with People Operations and Legal Operations to co-create governance, change-control, and escalation models, delivering technical guidance, runbooks, and training.
- Collaborate on the delivery and stewardship for People platforms, defining technical requirements, managing vendor execution, supporting testing and go-live, and enabling steady-state operations for Workday, VNDLY, Greenhouse, and related systems.
- Drive CLM and Legal and Compliance systems, leading selection and operational rollout of an enterprise CLM, stewarding matter/invoicing and commercial compliance tooling, and ensuring vendors deliver required finance/identity integrations.
- Lead the vendor lifecycle for medium/large investments, including RFPs, technical selection, contracting, commercial negotiation, and vendor governance.
- Own vendor commercial terms and SLAs, coordinate security/privacy/compliance assessments with IT Security and Legal, run quarterly governance, and maintain vendor scorecards.
- Provide technical oversight to vendors and contingent workers, setting acceptance criteria, reviewing technical deliverables, approving production releases in scope, and driving remediation or decommissioning when contractual or security standards are not met.
- Own operational readiness and post-launch support, including incident response, monitoring dashboards, continuous improvement, and audit readiness (SOX/GxP/privacy).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
- Approximately 8+ years delivering enterprise-ready People and Legal technology.
- 3+ years at a senior technical or architect level.
- Deep, hands-on experience in enterprise platform architecture, SaaS implementations, API and data design, security, and production operations.
- Proven experience defining multi-year technology roadmaps and translating them into executable programs and KPIs.
- Proven experience defining and delivering enterprise-wide AI strategy, sponsoring pilots, and scaling production services with governance and cross-functional adoption.
- Prior experience in Workday (design, deployment, enterprise integrations).
- Familiarity with VNDLY and Greenhouse.
- Prior experience in CLM, commercial compliance, matter and invoicing systems in production.
- Proven ability to run technical RFPs, negotiate contracts, own SLAs, and run vendor governance and remediation.
- Able to define acceptance criteria, evaluate vendor deliverables, and approve production releases.
- Experience with incident response, monitoring, continuous improvement, and delivering in SOX/GxP/privacy contexts.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, present technical cases, and drive adoption across functions.
