About the Role
Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide clerical and administrative support in the Human Resources Department. This role involves associate engagement, recruitment, training, compliance, and onboarding processes that align with Omni standards.
Responsibilities
- Track, onboard, and process new hires into the UltiPro HRIS.
- Interact professionally and warmly with all guests to the Human Resources Office.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR leadership.
- Assist in the recruitment process in collaboration with the corporate team, HR team, and hiring managers.
- Maintain and conduct audits of associate trackers and logs, including New Hire Tracker and Promotion/Transfer Logs.
- Ensure proper backgrounds and pre-employment processes are followed.
- Verify that all New Associate Files contain appropriate paperwork, signed acknowledgments, and applicable licenses/certificates.
- Maintain department logs, binders, and employee files.
- Enter and maintain all associate data into UltiPro (HRIS).
- Maintain office supplies and equipment and place requisitions through Birchstreet Inventory Procurement.
- Participate in planning and execution of associate events organized by the Human Resources Department.
- Champion Omni culture on property and promote opportunities within the hotel and company.
- Facilitate a culture of praise and recognition by assisting with employee recognition programs.
- Participate in the Hotel Orientation Program.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor, and motivate associates and managers at all levels.
- Must be flexible with schedule to include some weekends.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
- High Volume Hotel Operations Experience Preferred.
- 1-year Human Resources Experience Preferred.
- Bilingual Preferred.
- Ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an extended period.
- Office environment with frequent travel around property.
