About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to build a new Forms capability consisting of a Java 21 / Spring Boot 3 backend service and a React / Vite / TanStack frontend portal, both deployed as containers on AWS EKS. The solution will reuse existing platform services for users, projects, project assignments, document storage/S3, Cognito authentication and SES email, integrating with them through REST APIs and JWT.
Responsibilities
- Build a new Forms capability consisting of a Java 21 / Spring Boot 3 backend service and a React / Vite / TanStack frontend portal.
- Deploy both backend and frontend as containers on AWS EKS.
- Reuse existing platform services for users, projects, project assignments, document storage/S3, Cognito authentication and SES email.
- Integrate with existing platform services through REST APIs and JWT.
- Ensure forms are hard-coded for each use case, rather than generated dynamically from configuration.
- Create a single immutable submission snapshot for each reporting period, with no version history.
- Update project totals only once a submission is approved, using a single transactional update.
- Utilize one common, scheme-independent codebase with lightweight configuration applied for each deployment.
- Separate production deployments as required, while lower environments may support multiple configurations.
Requirements
- Java 21 / Spring Boot 3 backend development experience.
- React / Vite / TanStack frontend development experience.
- Experience deploying applications as containers on AWS EKS.
- Experience integrating with services through REST APIs and JWT.
- Experience with user management, project management, and document storage systems.
- Experience with Cognito authentication and SES email services.
- Ability to create a common, scheme-independent codebase.
- Ability to apply lightweight configuration for each deployment.
