About the Role
Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology, Operations Supervisor and the clinical direction of the section Team Leaders, the Radiology Medical Assistant I is responsible for basic clinical duties needed in preparing a patient for a Radiology procedure. The Radiology-MA I works collaboratively with the clinical and support services teams to assure efficient and effective operations in the department while maintaining confidentiality of all patients’ records, medical treatment and diagnosis and abiding by the policies and procedures of the department. Patient and family-centered care is essential to this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic clinical duties in preparing a patient for a Radiology procedure.
- Collaborate with clinical and support services teams to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records, medical treatment, and diagnosis.
- Abide by department policies and procedures.
- Provide patient and family-centered care.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills.
- One to three years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
