About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to become the finance lead for a fast-growing startup being built within a major gaming studio. You'll have significant ownership and visibility across the entire business, working directly with leadership and partnering with Group Finance, Tax and Legal. You'll build the finance function as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and intercompany accounting
- Manage treasury, FX exposure and payment provider relationships
- Oversee reward liabilities, settlement cycles and cash flow
- Build and maintain finance controls around fraud, abuse and user payouts
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
- Build financial models around PuzzlePlay's unique economics and user dynamics
- Partner with Product on the financial implications of new features and mechanics
- Support entry into new territories, including tax, payments, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Work with Legal, KYC/Compliance and external advisors as the business expands
- Support intercompany recharge arrangements
- Develop PuzzlePlay's finance systems, processes and controls as it moves towards a standalone infrastructure
- Own statutory reporting and audit as the business reaches scale
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 1-2 years PQE
- Commercially minded, with strong technical accounting fundamentals
- Adaptable to working autonomously in a fast-moving environment
- Confident building processes where they don't yet exist
- Comfortable working across finance, product, operations and senior leadership
- Keen to develop experience across financial modelling, payments, multi-currency and international operations
