About the Role

Seeking expressions of interest for a Supply Chain and Subcontracts Manager role on a major new program, focused on strengthening Australia's sovereign industrial capability. This role involves working with Defence, industry partners, and suppliers to ensure exceptional delivery performance, support Australian Industry Capability (AIC) commitments, and enhance supply chain resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the supply chain function for a major program of work, including subcontracts and suppliers.
  • Manage the delivery of Australian Industry Capability (AIC), Sovereign Sustainment, and Supply Chain Industry Development initiatives.
  • Lead engagement activities such as supply chain forums, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on AIC commitments, Australian Content and Employment (ACE) obligations, and supply chain performance.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, industry partners, and government stakeholders, both in Australia and internationally.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to support contractual compliance and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to governance reviews, reporting, and initiatives that strengthen sovereign capability and supply chain resilience.

Requirements

  • A diploma or tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in management of supply chain and subcontracts, including suppliers.
  • Solid experience in management and coordination of AIC.
  • Experience working within Defence, Government, or another complex regulated industry.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance, and support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Experience in governance, compliance, contract management, or continuous improvement is highly regarded.
  • Must hold and maintain an active Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Must comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
