About the Role

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Eurostar's heavy overhaul and major component repair programme across TMI. This critical leadership role ensures maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time, balancing planned overhaul schedules with unplanned fleet maintenance demands. The role is key to improving fleet reliability and availability, driving operational excellence, and supporting transport services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and deliver the heavy overhaul and major component repair programme across TMI, ensuring safe and effective management of planned and unplanned fleet maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure availability of materials, resources, and equipment against the maintenance plan.
  • Implement a robust overhaul delivery schedule, improving workflow for efficiencies and enhancing fleet availability.
  • Lead and develop the overhaul team, monitoring delivery against plan, safety, quality, and cost.
  • Deliver the full life cycle strategy for overhaul and heavy maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management experience across multi-disciplinary teams, preferably in rolling stock maintenance or heavy engineering.
  • Track record of delivering operational and safety performance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with effective cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Experience applying Lean methodologies for workflow efficiency, resource optimisation, and operational performance enhancement.
  • Financial and commercial awareness, including budget management and depot operating cost control.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and delivering heavy overhaul programmes in a production, engineering, or maintenance environment.
  • Engineering experience and knowledge to support decision-making.
  • IT literacy for planning and performance reporting, including experience with maintenance management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
