About the Role
SMS Environmental is seeking a Trainee Water Treatment Engineer to join their team. This role offers full training and opportunities for career progression in the water hygiene industry. The position involves hands-on work, travelling to customer sites, and learning specialist skills to help maintain safe water systems.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned water hygiene and water treatment activities
- Perform temperature monitoring
- Conduct water flushing
- Clean and disinfect shower heads
- Inspect and clean water storage tanks and systems
- Perform Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) inspections and maintenance
- Record completed work using in-house software on an iPad
Requirements
- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Willingness to learn
- Positive attitude
- Pride in delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident using an iPad or similar technology
