About the Role
Superhuman is seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer to join the Agents team in Berlin. This role involves designing new interaction patterns for AI-human collaboration, building AI-first products, and shaping the future of AI design workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design zero to one agents, including new writing and communication agents as AI-first products.
- Invent novel interaction patterns for AI-human collaboration.
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams across different locations.
- Pioneer new AI design workflows, potentially starting in code and refining in Figma.
- Shape design strategy by bringing user insights and prototyping ideas.
- Build a longer-term view of the Agents roadmap.
- Lead and mentor designers through critique, feedback, and close collaboration.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing complex, scalable software, particularly productivity tools, creative software, or developer tools.
- A genuine interest in AI technology, including conceptual understanding and practical workflows.
- Experimentation with AI-driven prototyping.
- A strong appreciation for language and writing, understanding sentence structure, human-like tone, and conversational nuances.
- Comfort working with metrics and data-driven design decision-making.
- Experience working directly in code and shipping PRs to production is a bonus.
