About the Role
We are seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Procurement professional to accelerate the deployment of next-generation AI robots. This role is central to the business, supporting robot mass production, export, and procurement. You will not just be an operator, but will actively engage in designing and improving the entire supply chain structure, directly contributing to business speed and profitability. We are looking for individuals who find excitement in navigating ambiguity and driving solutions in a startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage supply chain and handle trade/logistics operations.
- Select optimal shipping routes (sea, air, land) based on cost, lead time, and reliability.
- Prepare and manage export/import documentation (invoices, packing lists, HS codes).
- Oversee and audit customs brokers and forwarders; explore bonded and FTZ utilization.
- Coordinate inventory and warehouse networks, and develop replenishment plans.
- Aggregate and analyze logistics costs and KPI data for management reporting.
- Coordinate with internal departments including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and accounting.
- Develop procurement plans, manage orders, and track delivery for AI robot parts.
- Identify, evaluate (quality, cost, delivery, financial stability), and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.
- Review quotations, validate cost reasonableness, and negotiate prices and purchasing terms.
- Manage BOM costs and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Draft and execute procurement contracts.
- Manage procurement across projects from prototyping to mass production phases.
Requirements
- Practical experience in SCM, procurement, logistics, or trade (approx. 1-5 years).
- Proficient in quantitative analysis using Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables).
- Japanese language proficiency (N1 or native level).
