About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Merchandiser to join our Sale or Return (SOR) & Direct to Customer (D2C) team, focusing on Womenswear SOR Brands and all Fashion D2C brands. This role involves using analytical and commercial skills to plan and optimize product ranges, deliver key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage in-season trading to maximize opportunities for customers and the category. The position also includes tasking Merchandising Assistants and collaborating with Buyers on product assortment and pricing.
Responsibilities
- Accurately plan and forecast sales, stock, profit, and SKUs for the assigned category.
- Ensure the commercial and customer success of a product range through range planning and agile in-season trading.
- Manage stock flow and control inventory levels, maximizing availability while minimizing holding and supply chain costs.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Merchandiser, Buyer, Head of Merchandising, Supply Chain, Trade Planning, sourcing, Trading Operations, Design, and Product Technology.
- Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and brands.
- Manage high-profile branded relationships.
- Make season trading and volume decisions in collaboration with Buying, including commercial terms and product lifecycle with suppliers.
- Task manage relevant Merchandising Assistant partners.
Requirements
- Experience in Forecasting & Planning, WSSI management, influencing & stakeholder management.
- Experience in a fast-paced brand-led environment.
- Proven experience in driving trade actions and managing performance against agreed KPIs.
- Experience in BTA preparation, margin modelling, and flow planning.
- Demonstrated experience in merchandising practices, including assortment planning and stock management.
- Strong Analytical and Numerical Skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar analytical tools.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Business Intelligence, Tableau.
- Understanding of Retail Operations and Supply Chain Management.
- Proactive approach to learning and development.
- Experience in collaboration and range planning alongside a buyer.
