About the Role
This intensive five-day training is designed to deepen knowledge, enable the exchange of diverse perspectives, build practical skills, and support the development of effective strategies tailored to regional contexts for accelerating industrial decarbonisation.
Responsibilities
- Articulate and apply knowledge on context-specific industry decarbonisation pathways, particularly regarding the techno-economic dimensions of the transition.
- Critically assess and effectively communicate policy opportunities for advancing industrial transformation in their countries.
- Advance a relevant challenge related to industry decarbonisation, grounded in the realities of participants’ own contexts.
- Identify relevant opportunities for collaboration and shared activities to build broader transition alliances.
- Engage with the big picture of industry decarbonisation in the context of the transition to climate neutrality and its links to energy sector decarbonisation.
- Engage with cross-cutting strategies and technologies such as energy efficiency, electrification, or hydrogen and their application in key industrial subsectors.
- Engage with policy instruments supporting the transition to climate-neutral industries.
- Engage with international trade policy, including strategic partnerships for clean value chains and carbon border adjustments.
- Engage with the social and financial dimensions supporting the shift to climate-neutral industrial production, ensuring a just transition.
Requirements
- Mid-level professionals with around 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Currently working on industry transformation topics.
- Actively engaged in public and policy debates on industry transformation or seeking to become active in the near future.
- Eager to increase knowledge and learn with an international group of participants and trainers.
- Able to outline how they already advance discussions and developments on industry transformation in their respective countries/regions or how they plan to do so in the future.
- Interested in becoming part of the global network of training alumni.
- Submit CV (max 2 pages).
- Submit Motivation letter (max 600 words) outlining personal goals, current role in industry transformation, plans to use gained knowledge, and organizational multiplier potential.

- Consideration for regional and gender representation.
- Notification of any anticipated barriers to participation (e.g., disability access, childcare) is appreciated.

- Participation is free of charge.
- Up to seven nights of accommodation near the venue covered.
- Breakfast and lunch during training days covered.
- Reimbursement of 70% of economy-class round-trip flight to and from Berlin, up to €800 per participant.
