About the Role

This role is for an Identified Aged Care Customer Service Officer within the Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) team. ACAS operates independently to assess Older Australians for needed care and services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service over the phone to clients and representatives.
  • Conduct all client interactions in a professional, knowledgeable, and supportive manner.
  • Respond promptly to emails from all stakeholders.
  • Provide strong administrative support to ACAS staff to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Assist clients with inquiries related to My Aged Care and assessment outcomes.
  • Mail My Aged Care support plans and Delegate decision outcome notices to clients.
  • Conduct monthly client surveys to gather feedback and improve services.
  • Maintain currency of knowledge relating to aged care services both funded and non-funded.
  • Assist with continuous improvement frameworks to regularly evaluate administrative processes.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for providing high quality care to Older Australians.
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with My Aged Care portal and the aged care and/or community service sector (or transferable skills).
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening.
  • Excellent planning, organising and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check.

  • $39 per hour + superannuation
  • Up to $18,550 tax free with not for profit salary packaging
