About the Role
This newly created Head of Risk Management role is responsible for establishing, embedding, and overseeing a strong organizational Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework. You will support informed decision-making, strengthen governance, and safeguard the organization’s reputation, sustainability, and performance by working closely with the Executive Leadership team, Board of Directors, and other key functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s enterprise risk management policy and framework.
- Align risk management practices with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee organisation wide risk identification, assessment, and prioritisation processes.
- Establish and maintain risk reporting frameworks and dashboards for executives and the Board.
- Monitor compliance with risk appetite and escalate breaches appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Liaise with regulators and external auditors as required.
- Oversee incident management frameworks, including risk events and near misses.
- Work closely with senior leaders to embed risk management into business operations.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and Business Units.
- Provide strategic advice on risk implications of major initiatives, investments, and transformations.
Requirements
- Strategic thinker with ability to link risk management to business strategy.
- Leadership experience and capability to build high performing teams that can influence at executive levels.
- Excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Integrity and ethics that promote a strong ethical compliance culture.
- Permanent roles are open only to Australian and New Zealand Permanent Residents or Citizens. Visa holders with unlimited right to work in Australia will be considered for Fixed Term Contracts.
