About the Role
The Cook reports directly to the Sous Chef and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity to create unforgettable dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on every guest. Your role will be pivotal for the success of Harvest Buffet.
Responsibilities
- Support the assigned section as directed by the Sous Chef
- Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations
- Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements
- Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment
- Experience in food preparation, preferably with a range of various cuisines and high-volume setting
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of relevant liquor laws
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Eligibility checks are required as part of the recruitment process and ongoing employment
