About the Role

The Guest Relations Officer is responsible for delivering a wide range of services to ensure guests thoroughly enjoy their experience, handling tasks from setting up buffets to clearing tables and interacting with guests.

Responsibilities

  • Completing opening preparation and pack-down duties for the Executive Lounge.
  • Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and bidding farewell upon departure.
  • Answering incoming phone calls to the Executive Lounge.
  • Alerting the kitchen for food/beverage replenishment and promptly refilling items.
  • Completing food and beverage requisitions for the next day's delivery.
  • Restocking, refilling, and clearing counters and tables at the end of each shift.
  • Maintaining positive inter-departmental relationships within the hotel and with outside vendors.
  • Abiding by NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol when serving alcohol to guests.
  • Serving each guest on a one-to-one basis with utmost courtesy.
  • Inspecting and maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the Executive Lounge, including temperature, lighting, and music.
  • Quickly clearing dirty table settings and sanitizing for the next seating.
  • Communicating VIP arrivals to designated personnel and delivering food & beverage amenities to guests' rooms.
  • Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Responding to special requests from guests with unique needs.
  • Following all company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • Speaking with others using clear and professional language.
  • Answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others.
  • Supporting the team to reach common goals.
  • Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Identifying and recommending new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
  • Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10-15kg without assistance.
  • Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
