About the Role
The Business Analyst conducts research and analysis to redesign systems and processes that align with strategic objectives and regulatory projects and initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between business, technical teams, and vendors, defining current and future states, gathering requirements, and assessing business impact.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to development of project documentation
- Contribute to team processes and workflows
- Plan and prioritize individual assignments, tasks, and workflow
- Complete and report on assigned tasks
- Resolve issues and challenges, escalating as appropriate
- Collaborate with team, internal and external colleagues
- Develop awareness of risks and risk triggers, escalating as appropriate
- Actively participate in coaching and performance management activities
- Engage in formal and informal learning opportunities
- Demonstrate self-awareness and emotional intelligence
Requirements
- 5-7 years experience in regulatory, oversight, or public-sector transformation roles
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing regulatory operating models, governance frameworks, or major organizational reforms
- Strong understanding of risk-based regulation
- Strong understanding of administrative law and procedural fairness
- Strong understanding of statutory decision-making environments
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with firm timelines
- Experience managing external consultants and integrators
- Strong executive communication, briefing, and issue-escalation skills
- Experience working with or within regulators, administrative authorities, or oversight bodies
- Familiarity with professional licensing, trust account oversight, or financial compliance frameworks
- Experience operationalizing third-party reviews (e.g., audits, legal or forensic reports)
- Exposure to data analytics, regulatory technology, or AI-enabled oversight tools
