About the Role
Manage end-to-end recruitment for an assigned portfolio and help hiring managers turn a workforce need into a well-run recruitment process. This includes advising on recruitment pathways, advertising, candidate attraction, assessment and selection, documentation and process requirements. You will also support internal workforce movement, including expressions of interest, acting opportunities, temporary assignments and redeployment pathways.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns for assigned portfolio roles, keeping activity accurate, timely and aligned with business priorities
- Advise hiring managers on recruitment pathways, advertising options, assessment methods, selection documentation and process requirements
- Support internal workforce movement, including expressions of interest, acting opportunities, temporary assignments and redeployment pathways
- Coordinate candidate, panel and hiring manager activity and keep recruitment processes moving against agreed timeframes
- Maintain accurate recruitment documentation, candidate communication and process records
- Identify recruitment risks, candidate attraction issues and process problems and escalate complex or sensitive matters where required
- Use recruitment systems, data and reporting to track campaign progress and improve recruitment delivery
- Work closely with People Services & Support so the transition from recruitment to commencement is accurate, timely and well coordinated
Requirements
- Undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Criminal Record Check, and Conduct Service Check.
- Relevant experience in recruitment, human resources or workforce services.
- Willingness to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required.
- Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing roles) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary roles)
Skills
- Experience managing recruitment, selection or workforce movement in a complex service environment
- Ability to work directly with hiring managers and give practical advice
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns without losing control of detail
- Clear and professional communication with candidates, including when delivering difficult messages
- Understanding of why good process matters without making process harder than it needs to be
- Ability to recognise risk and know when to escalate
- Comfortable using recruitment systems, data and technology to manage and improve delivery
- Knowledge of NSW public sector recruitment, merit and mobility requirements is valuable
