About the Role
As an FP&A Analyst at AP+, you'll support Finance Business Partners with financial analysis, reporting, and insights to aid business decision-making. You will work across budgeting, forecasting, financial reviews, business cases, and commercial activities, transforming data into actionable insights. You will also build cross-functional relationships and enhance performance management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and report on budgeting, forecasting, and financial business reviews, focusing on AP+ profitability drivers.
- Analyze financial and operational performance, identify variances and trends, and translate business activity into financial impacts and insights.
- Support commercial agreements, business cases, and decision-making with accurate financial analysis.
- Partner with operational business teams and Finance Business Partners to understand needs and provide financial support.
- Maintain financial controls and support compliance with finance policies, technical accounting, tax, and treasury requirements.
- Deliver actionable financial insights and contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar finance role.
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification.
- Confidence working with financial data, interpreting financial metrics, and translating analysis into practical insights.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing results, and communicating budget/forecast information.
- Ability to monitor and report on costs, identify variances, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Sound understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
- Basic understanding of financial risk management.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across the business.
- Knowledge of payments technology, IT systems, and financial services is advantageous.
- Interest in understanding how industry and market dynamics influence business performance.
